Acceptance:

Making any reservation implies acceptance of these general conditions.

User:

The person making the reservation must be of legal age and is responsible for the veracity of the information provided.

Reservation:

KeyFamily Apartments will proceed to confirm bookings using the different channels available, but not including telephone. Bookings will not be secured until confirmation with your locator number has been received.

Prepayment:

To formalize a booking at any KeyFamily Apartments establishment through www.keyfamilyapartments.com, KeyFamily Apartments reserves the right to request payment in advance of the total or part of the stay depending on the rate and the apartment booked.

Payment:

According to the booking conditions:

  • Non-refundable: The guest will have to pay in advance at the time of booking the total price of the reservation. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel anytime. If the guest doesn't show up, they'll be charged the total price of the reservation.
  • Refundable 14 days: The guest must pay the full price of the reservation in advance during the 14 days prior to the arrival date. 15 days prior to the check-in date, the guest will receive an email with a secure payment link to make the payment for the reservation. The customer has 24 hours to make the payment. If payment is not made, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
  • Refundable 30 days: The guest must pay in advance the total price of the booking within 30 days before the arrival date. 31 days before the arrival date, the guest will receive an e-mail with a secure payment link to pay for the booking. The guest has 24 hours to make the payment. If payment is not made, the booking will be automatically cancelled.

KeyFamily Apartments will request payment by SMS or email. The guest has a maximum period of 24 hours to make the payment. After that time, if the guest has not made the payment, the reservation will be automatically canceled.

City Tax of €5,50 + VAT per person per night, is to be paid in cash or by credit card at check-in.

Modifications:

If, due to exceptional circumstances outside of its goodwill and intervention, KeyFamily Apartments were not able to offer the accommodation booked, it reserves the right to re-accommodate and provide the guest with another apartment of similar characteristics and comforts, either in its own establishments or in those of third parties. KeyFamily Apartments will not charge any price difference, should one exist.
If the guest does not agree with the circumstance, he/she will have the right to a full refund of the amount paid for the booking.

Guest must request changes to reservations made through www.keyfamilyapartments.com by email to info@keyfamilyapartments.com. Modifications made by phone or other means will not be accepted.
If the new dates are available, the rate for the new dates will be applied if it is different.

Cancellation:

According to the booking conditions:

  • Non-refundable: The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel at any time. If the guest does not show up, he will have to pay the total price of the reservation.
  • Refundable 14 days: The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival. The guest will have to pay in advance the total price of the reservation during the 14 days before the arrival date. If the guest does not show up, he will have to pay the total price of the reservation.
  • Refundable 30 days: The guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel in the 30 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the payment of the total price of the reservation in the 30 days before arrival. If the guest does not show up, he will have to pay the total price of the reservation.

Cancellations of reservations made of through www.keyfamilyapartments.com must be made by email, sent to info@keyfamilyapartments.com. Cancellations may not be made by telephone or other way.
KeyFamily Apartments hereby states that if departure takes place before the date stipulated in the booking guests will not be refunded any part of the amount paid.

KeyFamily Apartments undertakes not to charge additional fees generated by the effects of cancellation.
Cancellations of any kind, including those caused by force majeure, will be subject to the cancellation policy of the reservation rate. For this reason, KeyFamily Apartments recommends that its guests take out an additional travel insurance policy that covers any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.

Prices and rates:

The rates specified for the various KeyFamily Apartments accommodation options include:

  • VAT.
  • Access to the entire apartment during your stay.
  • Two sets of keys. The extra set of keys costs €50 per set of keys. Maximum of one additional set of keys. Must be requested at least 7 days prior to arrival date.
  • Use of all electrical appliances and homeware specified in the description of each apartment.
  • WIFI.
  • Free use of a smart TV, not including services and channels available for a fee.
  • Rational consumption of water, electricity or gas, whichever apply to your apartment.
  • Use of sheets and towels.
  • All reservations include 2 towels per person (one large and one small towel). The extra towel service costs € 3 per big towel and € 2 per small towel.
  • A cleaning and laundry service prior to and after your stay at the apartment with the commitment of KeyFamily Apartments to provide your apartment in fundamental conditions of hygiene for habitability, as specified in Article 67 of Title II of Decree 159/2012 of 20 November on Tourist Establishments and Homes of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
  • Additional services of late/early check-in or check-out (subject to availability and on request).
  • Breakfast Kit.

The rates specified for the various KeyFamily Apartments accommodation options do not include:

  • Additional laundry and cleaning services requested by guests during their stay.
  • City Tax.
  • Transfers, excursions or other forms of transport.
  • Luggage storage service (locker).
  • Additional food services.

The prices for additional laundry or cleaning services, transfers, luggage storage, early/late check-in or check-out, or any type of food kit must be requested by sending an email to info@keyfamilyapartments.com.

All rates are quoted in local currency (€) and dollars ($). Currency exchange rates are updated regularly but may change due to market fluctuations.

KeyFamily Apartments reserves the right to change the rates indicated for each of its apartments and services depending on its needs, the season of the year and the hosting of special events in the city. However, KeyFamily Apartments undertakes to indicate and publish this on its website, and only and exclusively charge the rates applicable at the time the booking is made. However, any additional or subsequent modification to the original booking may be affected by the possible variation in price.

City tax:

City Tax is €5,50 + VAT per person per night, in accordance with regulations detailed in Law 5/2017 of 28 March on Stays at Tourist Establishments. This tax is not included in the price of the reservation, and it must be paid in cash or by credit card at check-in.

Personal data Information:

All information provided by the user is saved on a secure server, and we guarantee that this information shall be accessed exclusively by reservation staff, and only for purposes of the reservation and to communicate with the client regarding future promotions and deals.

Occupants:

A greater number of people than the number indicated on the booking may not enter the apartment. If this happens, KeyFamily Apartments reserves the right to charge for the additional guests, provided that the occupancy indicated in the habitability license and in the accommodation occupancy description are not exceeded, as indicated in Article 67 of Title II of Decree 159/2012 of 20 November on Tourist Accommodation Establishments and Homes of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Failure to comply with the regulations laid out by the Generalitat de Catalunya in Decree 159/2012 of 20 November by the guests will result in their immediate expulsion from the apartment and the deposit will be lost. Guests will not have the right to make a claim or receive a refund.

Cleaning:

The apartment shall be made available to the guest duly clean. The guest commits to leave the apartment reasonably clean, without rubbish or leftover food.

Equipment:

The guest commits to leave the apartment in the same circumstances as they found it upon entering in terms of furniture and equipment preservation.

Guarantee:

When the keys are handed over by KeyFamily Apartments and guests enter the accommodation, a deposit will be requested via card pre-authorization by means of a deposit covering damage to the property or its contents, the value of which will amount to €300. This deposit may not be paid in cash or using an American Express card.

KeyFamily Apartments undertakes to return the full amount of the deposit once a check has been performed at check-out to ensure no damage exists derived from irresponsible use of furniture, electrical appliances or homeware, annoyances caused by excess noise, and/or excessive dirtiness.

KeyFamily Apartments warns that if any of the sets of keys provided when guests check-in is lost, this deposit will be used to pay for the new keys and lock.

Check-in / check-out:

By default, and unless indicated otherwise in the description of the services booked, check-in and check-out times are as follows:

  • Check-in: from 3pm to 9pm.
  • Check-out: maximum time 11am.

Only one check-in will be made per reservation at the agreed time.

Pets:

Pets are not permitted nor assistance animals at any of KeyFamily Apartments apartments.

General rules:

At KeyFamily Apartments we are committed to good coexistence with the neighborhood and practices that respect the apartment and the environment.
Below we detail the apartment rules that we ask to respect and comply with:

Respect:

  • Groups of young people under 30 years old are not allowed.
  • Smoking is prohibited.
  • Silence from 10pm to 8am to respect the neighbors' rest.
  • Strictly prohibited: Parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties, shouting, making noise and loud music in the apartment.
  • If noise is made, the rules are not respected, or the neighbors feel annoyed, it will result in immediate expulsion from the apartment, without refund and a charge of €300.
  • This property uses an IOT device (decibel measurement system) Noise Alarm from Roomonitor, a company collaborating with the Barcelona City Council. It is a device that complies with the requirements of the privacy of guests since it does not make any type of sound recording. It measures the noise volume level in the property, sending an alert when the maximum limit established by the city council of our city is exceeded, allowing noise to be controlled and promoting good coexistence with the neighborhood.

Cleaning:

  • At check out, the apartment must be left in a clean and tidy condition, with no rubbish scattered on the floor, and no dishes to clean or in the dishwasher. Otherwise, an additional cleaning service will be charged (70€).
  • At check out, it is necessary to throw the rubbish in the street bins provided for this purpose.

Environment:

  • It is necessary to turn off the lights and air conditioning/heating when leaving the apartment.
  • Responsible use of electricity and water must be made during the stay. If excessive consumption is detected, an extra charge of €70 will be made.

Regulations:

  • To comply with local law, it is necessary to register each guest who sleeps in Barcelona in the Police database. For this reason, we will ask each person staying for their passport or ID information.
  • Self-check in, guest must provide the ID or passport information of all guests at least 7 days before their arrival. Otherwise, the guest will not be able to access the apartment and check in will not be permitted.
  • It is not allowed to accommodate more people than those indicated in the reservation.
  • A credit card must be requested as a deposit. No charge will be made if the apartment is returned in adequate conditions of cleanliness and order and if the house rules have been complied with.
  • At the end of the stay, the guest agrees to leave the apartment and all their belongings in the same conditions in which they were delivered. For this purpose and as a guarantee of this obligation, the guest authorizes KeyFamily Apartments to charge up to €300 in the event of damage, loss or non-compliance with the rules.
  • If it receives recurrent notification as to excess noise and once the veracity of this claim has been checked, KeyFamily Apartments reserves the right to ask guests to leave the apartment immediately, involving the pertinent police authorities if necessary. Guests will not have the right to receive any form of refund of the amount paid through booking or as a deposit.

Other rules or recommendations:

  • It is advisable to lock the door of the property to avoid the possibility of theft.

Passageway regulations:

If the apartment is situated in a shared, private passageway with locked access (KeyFamily Lovely Villa and KeyFamily Loft Las Ramblas) you must respect the specific regulations that govern the development of coexistence between neighbors and visitors, and which must be obeyed. For this reason:

  • The outer door of the passageway shall be closed each time the passenger enters or leaves the passageway.
  • Excess noise is not permitted between the passageway entrance and the entrance to the accommodation.
  • Storing or throwing away any kind of object is not permitted at any point between the passageway entrance and the entrance to the accommodation.

Failure to comply with these regulations may result in guests being expelled from the accommodation, without the right to a refund and losing the amount paid as a deposit.

Check in:

In case of delay due to any circumstance, please contact KeyFamily Apartments with enough time to try to schedule the check in time again. We kindly ask all our guests to be punctual, otherwise we won’t be able to guarantee check in time at arranged tim.

KeyFamily Apartments personally welcome all our guests, and any delay can affect other scheduled check ins at other apartments.

In case the guest does not provide the arrival time at the apartment at least 7 days before the check-in date, the check-in cannot be guaranteed.

Liability:

KeyFamily Apartments acts as an intermediary with the client derived from the provision of services in the form of tourist accommodation rental. Therefore, KeyFamily Apartments is fully liable for the infractions and incidents of non-compliance with the obligations defined in tourist sector, accommodation, consumption and municipal regulations applicable to its activity.
Any disputes that may arise between the client and KeyFamily Apartments. with regard to the aforementioned terms and conditions correspond to and will be settled by the Courts of Barcelona.

KeyFamily Apartments hereby states that it is not responsible for the excessive noise caused by and coming from the neighbors of flats, apartments or adjoining/adjacent houses and which are not derived from its management.

Regarding the provision of a transfer service, KeyFamily Apartments will remain exempt from all liability derived from the hiring of this service, as well as the loss or damage of luggage and personal objects transported during provision of this service.
If any type of incident and/or accident should occur during provision of the transfer or excursion service, KeyFamily Apartments will remain exempt from all civil, commercial and criminal liability derived from said incident and/or accident.
Regarding provision of the luggage storage service, KeyFamily Apartments will remain exempt from all liability derived from the theft, loss or damage of objects or luggage stored at their facilities.

Guest agrees to provide access to the apartment to the owners, to the contracted staff of KeyFamily Apartments or to the competent Authorities, for maintenance or security reasons.

Admission rights:

Key Family S.L. informs that it reserves the right of admission for any of the accommodation advertised under the registered trademark ‘KeyFamily Apartments’, based on Article 14 of the Spanish Constitution. Key Family S.L. informs that under no circumstances will it exercise the right for discriminatory reasons of race, sex, religion, birth, opinion or any other personal or social circumstance. Key Family S.L. will only restrict access to its establishments if it detects that any of the people staying at the establishment are or may be behaving dangerously, violently or inappropriately and causing a disturbance to normal coexistence, or in the event that one or more guests are using drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances, or show obvious signs of having consumed them.
